We Are the Future (WAF) is creating a new global coalition of leading institutions and individuals in business, government, health, education and entertainment to share responsibility for finding tangible and lasting solutions to problems affecting children in conflict and post-conflict cities. We Are the Future has developed a strategic and long-term plan to use the skills, knowledge and assets of the developed world to empower children in the developing world.

BMF Entertainment Inc.

.We Are the Future was co-founded by the Glocal Forum- a Rome-based NGO promoting peace and development through city-to-city partnerships and youth empowerment- and the legendary Quincy Jones. In 1985, his We Are the World initiative brought the world’s attention to the plight of millions of people suffering from hunger in Africa- it raised more than $65 million in aid for the continent. The spirit of that global awareness campaign is renewed with We Are the Future–a global action campaign.Through a strategic partnership with the World Bank, and with the personal commitment of its president, James Wolfensohn, the mission of WAF is to establish We Are the Future Centers that will provide training and services to children and youth in the vital areas of health, nutrition and education.

We’re an private equity firm that invest in emerging market companies in the field of real estate development, construction, security services, stock brokerage, tourism & hospitality, consultancy, manufacturing of concrete poles among others.

Programs in these areas are developed through the use of information communications technology (ICT), sports and the arts. This approach is holistic and strategic. WAF Centers do more than give a child food or vaccinations; they prepare children for a new future as citizens of the world. Through WAF, municipal governments in developing cities will partner with developed cities in Europe and the US. Reflecting the essence of the Glocal Forum’s city-to-city approach to development and peacebuilding, these partnerships will serve to create demand-driven supply networks for resources from governments, private companies and individuals in the developed world to children across the developing world.

Forum’s city-to-city approach to development and peacebuilding, these partnerships will serve to create demand-driven supply networks for resources from governments, private companies and individuals in the developed world to children across the developing world. In this way, WAF will link international and local actors and, in the process, rebuild hope in our collective future. Six pilot WAF Centers are being established in Africa and the Middle East in the cities of Kigali, Rwanda; Kabul, Afghanistan; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Nablus, Palestine; Asmara, Eritrea; and Freetown, Sierra Leone. WAF’s strategy is to build a sound model in these six locations and then replicate it in emerging cities worldwide. investors@qjlupf.org
